Faulty COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Home Test Kits

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control has determined that a limited number of the iHealth COVID-19 home test kits may have defective result cartridges due to a manufacturer error. DHEC says these may give inaccurate results, including a missing or very faint control line. Staff from one of DHEC’s regional health departments identified the defective kits during quality control. Replacement kits are available from DHEC District Health Departments. Lot numbers and expiration dates of iHealth test kits can be found on the back of the packaging.
