Oregon’s Kenny Dillingham “leader” for the job > Oregon

Speculation about Arizona State’s soccer coach continues and much of the chatter revolves around Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham as the Sun Devils’ next coach.

Dillingham, 32, has many Arizona ties.

He hails from Scottsdale, where he attended Chaparral High School, played, and later was an assistant coach. He is also an ASU graduate and was an offense assistant for the Arizona State football team in 2014-15.

CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd recently wrote that Dillingham is the “leader in the clubhouse” for the Arizona state coaching job.

He wrote: “Watch Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham for a good look. ASU could become one of the best new hires of the cycle. The talented Dillingham appears to be the leader in the clubhouse, but that’s something you never know in an administration got rid of Herm Edwards and then retained the AD who hired him (Ray Anderson). Dillingham, 32, is a tried and tested asset despite his relative youth. His quarterback Bo Nix could get a Heisman Trophy invite. Dillingham would receive all kinds of resources to turn the Sun Devils around. Why can’t ASU compete for a playoff spot every year in the new Pac-12 (excluding USC and UCLA)?
