UNDATED (AP) — No. 18 North Carolina vs. rival North Carolina State is the Atlantic Coast Conference Week 13 marquee game. North Carolina had already won the Coastal Division title when it lost to Georgia Tech last week. Given NC State, the Tar Heels could focus on the current game. NC State has risen to 10th in the AP Top 25. The Wolfpack’s defense ranks 15th nationally, allowing just 18.7 points per game. The Tar Heels rank eighth on offense nationally, averaging 492.7 yards behind redshirt quarterback Drake Maye.

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (AP) — First-year guard Gradey Dick scored a season-high 25 points to help No. 3 Kansas beat North Carolina State 80-74 in the opener of Battle 4 Atlantis. With that, coach Bill Self successfully returned to the bench after a four-game suspension. Dick had 18 points on six 3-pointers in the first half before going off the field 1 for 8 after the half. Kansas led 39:31 at halftime, but had to drag this game into the final minutes. Casey Morsell scored 21 points to lead the Wolfpack while Terquavion Smith added 19 points.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (AP) — Cameron Hildreth scored 19 points to lead six by double figures and Wake Forest rolled to a 103-71 win over winless South Carolina State. Wake Forest (5-1) bounced back from their only loss of the season, a 77-75 loss in overtime to LMU at the Jamaica Classic Championship. The Demon Deacons shot 68% (36 of 53) from the floor and made 24 of 31 free throws against South Carolina State. ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Georgia coach Kirby Smart sees a change in Georgia Tech’s game under interim coach Brent Key. If the Yellow Jackets beat the Bulldogs, it could change the direction of a fading state rivalry. No. 1 Georgia will look to cap their second straight regular season unbeaten when they play Georgia Tech. Georgia has a four-game winning streak against Georgia Tech and has surpassed the Yellow Jackets 180-35 in those four years. Georgia has won 17 of the last 20 games in the series since 2001.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – The transfer portal was kind to Florida State coach Mike Norvell. Florida’s Billy Napier should be hoping for similar success this offseason. The 16th-ranked Seminoles are likely to start seven transfers on offense when they host rivals Gators on Friday night. The list includes dynamic quarterback Jordan Travis, lead rusher Trey Benson, and lead receiver Johnny Wilson. The trio are the backbone of a team that has scored at least 38 points in four straight wins. Napier has three portal finds of his own, including two who have followed the Louisiana coach, but he’s expected to be looking for more in the offseason.

UNDATED (AP) — Syracuse secured a postseason spot for the first time in four years, and a win would end a five-game losing streak and give coach Dino Babers just his second regular-season win mark in his seven years at the Helm . A victory for the Eagles would create a tie with the Orange at the bottom of the Atlantic Division and make Syracuse the fourth team to start a season with six wins and end with six straight losses, alongside Miami (Ohio), Illinois and Baylor. By winning their first six games, the Orange climbed to number 14 in The Associated Press’s Top 25.

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) — Kayana Traylor had 18 points, Elizabeth Kitley had 17 points and 10 rebounds and No. 11 Virginia Tech used a big third quarter to beat Missouri 73-57. The Hokies led by double digits for the final eight minutes of the game. Georgia Amoore had 15 points with six assists to hit double figures for Virginia Tech for the fifth straight season. Haley Troup scored 21 points for Missouri.
