After months of preparation, a gigantic go-kart track in Edison now has an opening date ahead of the winter holidays.
Supercharged Entertainment Edison plans to open the new facility on December 16th and invite drivers to an exciting course akin to Mario Kart.
Located at 987 US-1 South adjacent to TopGolf, the Edison course will feature a number of other attractions including 19 ax throwing lanes, bionic bumper cars, a Drop & Twist Tower, virtual reality experiences and more than 140 arcade games on two floors.
There will also be a Burgers and Brews restaurant at the 131,000-square-foot space, which is located on a 16-acre complex. The full-service restaurant includes a sports bar with more than 30 beers on tap.
In a series of videos and photos on Instagram, the company gave a first look at the upcoming go-kart circuit.
The multi-level, temperature-controlled course has 10 elevation changes and space for four wide races. There are two tracks that can be combined into a single 80,000 square foot Supertrack. Collectively, the course is approximately 28% larger than Supercharged Entertainment’s existing facility in Wrentham, Massachusetts. The electric go-karts can reach speeds of between 35 and 40 miles per hour.
“Supercharged Entertainment Edison has something for everyone – couples, families, children, groups and corporates,” said Stephen Sangermano, president of the Edison facility. “We’re thrilled to be showing all of New Jersey, as well as New York and Pennsylvania. all the exciting and insane fun that our Edison venue has to offer.”
The go-kart track is priced at $29 for a single race, $78 for a three-race package, and $125 for a five-race package. Ax throwing is $28 per person for 60 minutes, according to the venue’s website.
Supercharged Entertainment also hosts go-kart leagues open to racers of all skill levels.

The opening of Supercharged Entertainment comes as plans are afoot for another go-kart track in a former Kmart building in Berlin’s Camden County mall. Earlier this year, The Raceway at The Lucky Snake opened in Atlantic City’s former Showboat casino.
