A cloudy drive home for Thanksgiving travelers

I’m the meteorologist Haley Lapointe. Here’s an update on your vacation. weekend forecast. I hope you had great Thanksgiving temperatures on our Black Friday, which will be in the low forties up north and then more into the mid to high forties in the southern part of the state. There may be *** a few places touching 50 including Portsmouth Nashua will be close we will have clouds *** some annoying showers mainly later in the morning and midday. Some of these isolated showers will take the form of wet snowflakes in the North Country’s White Mountains. But we are back in sunshine, breezy conditions in the sun on Saturday with a temperature close to 50 degrees, this will be a great day to get out and maybe decorate or cut down your own Christmas tree. If you have outdoor plans, Saturday is probably the best day to do it. Then Sunday we have clouds *** Much of the day is dry so you can still add some of those festive decorating appointments or get the tree Sunday morning then it will rain late in the day and evening temperatures will again be close to the upper forties 50. So relatively mild track here, we got clouds rolling through and eventually rain and wet snowflakes. You can see them over New York State. These will slip through mid-day on Friday, arriving as wet snowflakes as early as 8am in the White Mountains North Country. So there might be a few spots in the White Mountain region. North Country, which can have some slick road conditions, but in general this stuff is really, really easy. But only this period of, say, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. There’s a chance some of those wet snowflakes will make things a bit greasy up north but then by 3am most of us are done showering, it’s just cloudy and then cloud clearing overnight into saturday. Check out that full Saturday sunshine with temperatures in the upper forties near 50’s. Then on Sunday we start the day with some sun, clouds fill in quickly and then rain comes late afternoon into evening. So travel home when visiting someone in the state or when
