Meadville, MO – Crash on US-36 leaves Travis Avila injured

Auto accidents are a leading cause of injury in the state of Missouri. Unfortunately, anyone can be seriously injured in an accident. In many cases, these accidents are due to negligence. This applies in particular if people are injured in rear-end collisions. There are many things that can cause drivers to hit another vehicle, but three of the most common causes are distraction, speeding and not yielding.

Distractions can come in many forms, from cell phones to passengers to outdoor landscapes. But no matter what the distraction, it takes the driver’s focus off the road and increases the likelihood of an accident.

Speeding is another leading cause of rear-end collisions. When drivers speed, they have less time to react to sudden braking or slowing down by the car in front. This can lead to a serious crash.

Not yielding is also a common cause of rear-end collisions. This happens when a driver does not leave enough space for the car in front when merging or turning. It can also happen when a driver tries to overtake another car and doesn’t leave enough space between the two vehicles.
