Arkansas vs. Missouri: Prediction, Selection, Distribution, Soccer Match Odds, Live Stream, Watch Online, TV Channel ” Missouri

Bragging rights, bowl eligibility and the progress of two programs among third-year coaches will be unveiled Friday when Missouri hosts Arkansas in an all-division SEC showdown on CBS. The Tigers need a win to qualify for the Bowl, while Arkansas need a win to match last season’s 4-4 mark in SEC play.

It would be a disappointment for Missouri to miss a bowl game under third-year coach Eli Drinkwitz, who recently received a contract extension and a raise after the Tigers reached the Armed Forces Bowl last season. For Arkansas, abandoning that game would be a step backwards after a five-game losing streak in the series last season.

Arkansas won last season’s meet at home 34-17 but is still looking for its first-ever win in Columbia, Missouri. The Tigers are 5-0 at home to the Razorbacks all-time, dating back to the very first meeting between the teams in 1906. The Razorbacks narrowly missed a 50-48 field goal loss by Mizzou kicker Harrison Mevis on time during the 2020 season, which ended in one game.

A total of 42 points were scored in the game in the fourth quarter alone, and it wouldn’t be surprising if teams played similarly ferociously this time around.

Arkansas vs. Missouri: Must know

Battle Lines Trophy: Arkansas and Missouri have played 13 times, but they only became annual rivals when the Tigers joined the SEC for the 2014 season. Since then, the two have been considered permanent cross-divisional opponents and play for the Battle Line Trophy. While this cannot be considered one of the SEC’s greatest rivalries, it certainly has one of its greatest trophies. The winner takes home a silver record that is over 4 feet tall and weighs over 180 pounds.

Statistical Strengths: These teams are all over the map in terms of their strengths. While Arkansas ranks No. 8 nationally in rushing offense, it ranks No. 118 in passing yards allowed. Within the Missouri defense alone, there is tremendous statistical polarization. The Tigers are No. 31 in total defense and only allow 338.2 yards per game, but they are 116th in red-zone defense. Mizzou also ranks 111th on offense in the red zone, making the red zone a special fighting zone for the Tigers. However, Arkansas is only 86th on offense in the red zone, which puts the Razorbacks’ offense under the microscope this game. Can they capitalize on Missouri’s poor red zone defense?

Sane Jefferson: Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson returned from injury last week, throwing for three touchdowns in a 42-27 win over Ole Miss. The Razorbacks are a different team when they have the physically imposing redshirt junior in the middle. Jefferson missed Arkansas’ 13-10 loss to LSU on Nov. 12 with a shoulder injury and was also at Mississippi State on Oct. 8 when the Razorbacks lost 40-17. But the Razorbacks are 6-3 when Jefferson has played, and that record includes wins at BYU and Auburn.

Of the 14 combined SEC games these two have played to date, nine of them have been played under that number. With Missouri ranked 7th in possession nationwide and Arkansas ranked 8th on fast offense, there could be some long periods of clock bleeding in this matchup. While Missouri’s red zone defense is terrible, Arkansas ranks only 86th nationally in red zone offense. It could be a busy day for the kickers. Prognosis: Below 55.5
