Louisville’s defense poses another “huge challenge” for Kentucky.

The Southeastern Conference game may be over for Kentucky, but that doesn’t mean the tough defensive challenges are going nowhere for the Wildcats and offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello.

Stake the Louisville Cardinals into action for the Governor’s Cup with five wins from their last six games. At this stretch, UofL has allowed an average of 16.5 points per game.

“They play very confidently, they play together, they have a lot of experienced players who have played together on that front for a while, so I think they play very well,” Scangarello said on Tuesday. “They’ve really smothered some good offense in the past few weeks… I just feel like they’re connected.”
