The little girl was in the back seat and her father was in the store.

Police knew the suspect was driving south toward Oklahoma, so they lined Interstate 35 and waited for him. Eventually, Trooper Tyler Langston spotted the vehicle and stopped traffic at the Tonkawa gas station.

The suspect was arrested, the 6-year-old girl was unharmed.

“She told us one thing, ‘I don’t think that’s my daddy,'” Foster said.

Luckily there was a happy ending. KOCO 5 has been notified that the suspect has been booked into the Kay County Jail and will be extradited to Kansas.

The little girl was reunited with her family.
